How To Make Your New Year’s Resolutions Stick?
It is that time of the year, where we all make resolutions to improve our health. Unfortunately, as much as we say we will eat better or exercise more, many of us fall short on this promise. A new healthy trend in 2022 is sports nutrition, and here are some tips for you to consider.
- Avoid crash diets. They never work. It’s dangerous and could impact your health negatively.
- The more reliable factor is tracking your body fat percentage than the scale. This percentage of your body fat mass and divided by your total mass. Therefore, we must aim to have a healthy body fat percentage, which controls weight for nutrition.
- Hydrate – Make sure to drink enough water. At least three-fourths of a gallon a day.
- Take High Fiber Foods – Vegetables are arguably the healthiest of all the food groups and are a great source of fibres. Women should aim at 21-25 grams while men’s intake should be 30-38 grams a day. So have a good size portion in every meal to get your fibre.
- Meal prep your meals once a week, preferably at the beginning of the week.
- Eat six small meals, or you can choose to eat three medium meals with snacks in between to get your body in momentum to burn fat.
- Staying consistent is the key. The goal of a successful resolution is regularity.
- Try to stay focused on the gradual change. Everything you do takes time.
- Incorporate self-care and balance into your daily activities. Take your me-time. See a massage therapist, take a day off. It will allow your mind and body to recover from strenuous exercise physically, however, for balance to work. You have to make it a priority; make it a routine.
- If you have been trying hard to get the recommended daily allowance of certain nutrients like vitamin C and zinc, then it might be time for a bit of push to get those extra amounts in. For more information about our sports nutrition supplement, visit us here at www.powerampsports.com.
