A new study reported this week determined that sports-specific nutritional supplements had much lower rates of adverse events.
A paper published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition found that self-reported adverse events were much lower when taking sports supplements than are typically found with those taking standard dietary supplements.
The researchers concluded that this was because Sports-specific nutritional supplements underwent more rigorous regulatory oversight than standard dietary supplements.
